    Circular:

    Sub: Guidelines for PhD entrance examination March 2011

    The following are the guidelines regarding the PhD entrance examination to be conducted in
    March 2011 by Gujarat Technological University. This is for the information of all concerned
    students and faculty members.

     Exam shall be conducted OMR based.


     Exam will be based on multiple choice questions (MCQ).
     The question paper shall comprise of 100 multiple questions of 100 marks and duration
    of exam shall be of 2 hours.
     To pass an exam minimum qualifying marks shall be 50% for all courses.
     The validity of student result shall be for 2 years from the date of declaration of result.
     The examination for Engineering and Pharmacy course student shall be taken in the
    morning session.
     The examination for Management and Computer Science shall be conducted in the
    afternoon session.
     The exam centre for all courses shall be L D Engineering college, Ahmedabad.
     Syllabus, date of exam, exam fee etc. shall be as per circular of GTU dated 14th February
    2011.
