Rhetorical Structure:
#1. Alliteration: The repetition of a particular sound in the first syllables of a series of words and/or
phrases.
Allusion: A figure of speech that makes a reference to, or representation of, a place, event, literary work,
myth, or work of art, either directly or by implication.
Simile: A figure of speech that indirectly compares two different things by employing the words "like",
"as", or "than".
Metaphor: A figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not
literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance.
