We had a double header last weekend which tested the fitness and resources of us all in the
very hot weather at Delaney Park. It was a catch up game on the Sunday and by chance it
happened to be the same team.
SATURDAY
UH 226 - 5 in 40 overs An excellent 105 by Jason Attewell and an impressive 43 by Umesh.
Plus we only had 10 players.
Stokes Valley 167 - 9 in 40 overs Bowling for us was a very impressive spell by Martin Roil of
8 overs 5 maidens 1 wicket for 6 runs. Hayden McMichael got 3 for 53
SUNDAY
Four changes and a full team.
Stokes Valley 136 - 7 in 40 overs A fill in, Dylan (ex T20 UH 3) bowled a superb spell of 8
overs 3 maidens 2 wickets for 9 runs. Wish he could stay for the rest of the season !! An equal-
ly impressive spell again from Martin Roil who, after running the half marathon in the morn-
ing, turned up and bowled 8 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 19 runs. Two superb catches by
Darren Lees complimented the fielding.
UH 139 - 3 after 23 overs Hayden McMichael and Jeff Brown put on 112 runs for the 1st wicket
which dented Stokes Vegas of any chance of an upset win. Hayden got 58 and Jeff 47.
We gained 7 points (6 for the win and 1 bonus) on both days and keeps us on top of the table.
