School Magazine- Preliminary Task For my preliminary task | am going to create a front cover and a contents page for a school magazine. | am going to do this before | create my music magazine as through this | will be able to gain some experience, of how to research and analyse existing products, how to understand the typical conventions and also how to use the software and computers to create my own magazine that resembles all of the required elements. Through the experience of researching and analysing magazines i will ultimately be provided with a much greater understanding of the task, and how to portray the conventions of a music magazine upon my own magazine and of a much better quality. The experience of the software and computers will allow me to create a magazine that is overall much more effective and of a higher quality. This, of course, shows that by doing this, | will gain a great benefit when it comes to my final practical in which | can approach much more confidently. The skills | learn will of course come in to practice when | create my own magazine, but my final piece is likely to be of a much better standard as | will have had the experience prior to it.
