    405.51
    Minidoka County Joint School District # 331 PAGE 1 of 1

    The Board of Trustees of Minidoka County Joint School District No. 331 realizes it is an
    employee’s right to seek public office and encourages capable and qualified employees to seek
    public office.

    Provisions:

    The following provisions are delineated:

    1. Candidates shall make arrangements with the superintendent so that plans can be made to
    fill assignments during his/her absence.

    2. Candidates shall not allow campaign activities to interfere with classroom activities or
    employment.

    3. Candidates shall not bring their campaign into the classroom nor make use of students in
    campaign activities.

    4. Serving in public office will be considered as leave without pay.

    5. Tenure will not be lost providing absence is no longer than four months.
