2007 Chateau Lamothe De Haux Bordeaux Blanc

Situated in the Bordeaux commune of Haux, the original six

hectare site was previously a 16th Century Manor House. It is now
totally renovated, comprising 85 hectares over three properties on
the slopes of the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux. Owned by the
Neel family for three generations, Chateau Lamothe is a cold
fermented blend of 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon and 20%
Muscadelle, resulting in a refreshingly lush, round, and smooth,
summer-styled wine.

Henri Bourgeois established his domaine in the scenic town of

Chavignol, on the slopes of Sancerre, where the family has been
making top quality wine for ten generations. Jean-Marie Bourgeois
currently operates as a grower and a negociant, including a successful
new venture in New Zealand. His Petite Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc is
classified as Vin du Paye Jardin de France. It undergoes fermentation
in temperature controlled stainless steel, and matures for three months
on the lees. The wine is racy, uncomplicated and refreshing, making it
the quintessential aperitif, or the perfect companion to all summer-
weight foods.
