On Wednesday February 16th, Pat Sayer came first with 36 points, Derrick Stephenson second with 33 points, and Steve Willingham third with 31 points in a playoff. On Friday February 18th, the Aguilon Golf club team defeated Boxers G.S. 3.5 points to 1.5 points in an Almeria league match. On Wednesday February 23rd, Bill Gibb came first with 38 points, Pierre Dominguez second with 36 points, and John Bridgen third with 33 points.

    AGUILON GOLF MEMBERS REPORT

    The E.G.A. handicapping system can throw up some


    interesting results when adjusting handicaps by the C.S.A.
    (competition stableford adjustment) which is similar to the
    C.S.S. in the U.K. depending on the general scoring of the
    field a score of 36pts can become 39pts for handicap
    purposes as our winners are finding out,to have meaningful
    handicaps here in Spain societies should adopt this method.
    RESULTS
    Wednesday 16th February-Individual Stableford
    With the weather being kind to us we are seeing the
    reappearance of shirtsleeves and shorts,we hope we are not
    being presumptive
    1st Pat Sayer 36pts, 2nd Derrick Stephenson 33pts, 3rd Steve
    Willingham 31pts on a card play off
    Twos: Pierre Dominguez x2 4th and 8th, Bob Schofield, David
    Street and Caroline Willingham at the 10th
    Friday 18th February-Almeria league match
    We entertained Boxers G.S. and on a lovely day for golf our
    team came out the winners by 3.5pts to 1.5pts
    Wednesday 23rd February-Individual Stableford
    It was a barmy sunny day for the members with a plethero of
    twos,our French member does not enter in to this club and
    had 2 x twos for the second week running!!
    1st Bill Gibb 38pts, 2nd Pierre Dominguez 36pts, John Bridgen
    33pts
    Twos:Pierre Dominguez,Bill Gibb and Roger Kaye 4th, Pat
    Sayer 8th,Pierre Dominguez 10th, John Bridgen and Caroline
