AN ACTIVITY PLAN

Group: 4 students
Gender: 1 male, 3 females
Age: 14 to 26
Level: Intermediate / Upper-Intermediate
Materials: paper and pens
Time: 10 min.
Interaction: T/Ss, S/Ss.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson,

1) The students will use their imagination

2) The students will have practiced “simple past and past continuous form”

STEPS

• Teacher organizes students together and give each person a sheet of paper and a
writing utensil
• Teacher has everyone write the first line to a story at the top of the page. Then pass
the page to the person on their right
• That person reads the first line then writes a second line to it. That person
must then fold the paper back to hide the first line from the view, so that only
the second line shows
• Students pass their papers to their right again. Each time they get the paper
and write a new line, they should fold back the previous line out of view
• This continues until they write 10 lines. The end result should be a strip of
folded paper
• Then the teacher has everyone open the paper in their possession and take
turns reading
• The stories usually turn out pretty absurd, but sometimes it’s amazing how
cohesive they can be.
