WEEK 1 – FIRST THINGST FIRST

We studied icebreakers, we talked about them for a while such as

kinds, names, how to use of them.

What I lerned was that there are some beliefs and actions that a
teacher must pay attention when he comes to the class, especially
in the first day of the lesson.Because, for the first lesson, the first
impression is very crucial and also the atmosphere of the
classroom is very important both for students and the
teacher.Students know neither their teacher nor each other so
icebreaker activities are very useful.

What I had difficulty in understanding was figuring out the level

of some groups like Activity E.But later, after the explanations, I
understood.

I suppose I need to focus more on the needs and expectations of

the students in terms of their ages and levels.Also, I should pay
attention which activities are proper and useful both for young
learners and adults.

I think I’ll certainly use these activities in my classes when I’m a

teacher.Furthermore, I’ll be careful about whether I give the true
instructions or not.I will have them feel important.To be able to
do this, we can set up the rules of the class together.
