ITINERARY
February 23, 2011

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Early Morning - Call the airline (Continental 800-525-0280) and give them your flight number and they
will give you the Terminal and Gate where you should check in
Air times and flight numbers could change prior to the flight.
Arrive at the Airport at least 1 ½ hours before the flight.
Do not attempt to check-in at the self-serve kiosk. Let the Directors go to the front of the group to
manage check in. Have your driver’s license (or other valid government issued I.D. with picture) ready to
present at check-in. (The name on the I.D. must match the name submitted for ticketing).
Check-in at the CO counter and get your boarding pass.
If you have travelers that are Frequent Flyers – they should give the agent their number at check in to
make sure they get credit for the miles.
Each traveler is allowed to take the following on the plane with no fee: one personal item (lap top, purse,
back-pack, etc) and a carry-on. See additional information at the end of the itinerary. If there are any
questions about the size, weight, etc. go www.continental.com for more information.
Be prepared to pay $25 (each way) for your 1 (one) piece of checked luggage. Have the exact
amount or plan to use a credit card. It is suggested that each person have a $20 bill and five $1
bills.
After everyone has arrived, checked in, and picked up their boarding pass - proceed through security and
go to the gate as a group.
Please give your luggage claim check for your one piece of checked luggage to your chaperone.
ALL travelers are limited to one checked bag, one carry-on, and one personal item – go to
www.continental.com to check dimensions and weights for checked and carry-on luggage as well as
information on liquids and gels and fees for checked luggage.
When you arrive at LAX Airport – deplane, check roll and proceed as a group to Baggage Claim where
you will be met by a Tour manager holding a sign that says A&M Consolidated.

Please Note:
o Be on time to scheduled meals – Restaurants will not hold reservations
o Flight times and numbers could change prior to departure
o Time adjustments may be made to the itinerary as needed by the AWT Escort / Guide
o If you get lost from the group and cannot find your chaperone – go to a public place – such as a
store and call your director or chaperone
o Travelers must present a valid / current government issued I.D.
o Only passengers on the official group manifest are permitted to ride on the coaches at anytime
during the tour
o Only passengers registered for the tour may participate in pre-paid activities
o Have a copy of the itinerary with you at all times – and make any announced additions to it
o The weather can be unpredictable in March and can range from very warm to cool to cold. It
could be in the 70s or 80s during the day but drop down to the 50s at night. It is suggested that
everyone dress in layers and be prepared for warm, cool, and cold. There will be some time to
visit the beach – but it will be much too cold to go for a swim.

Guidelines for Liquids, Gels & Aerosols


Liquids in carry-on baggage must be in individual containers
with a maximum capacity of 3.4 oz/100 ml/ each. All liquids,
gels and aerosols in containers larger than 3.4 ounces must
be packed in your checked baggage.

The containers must be packed in one transparent re-


sealable plastic bag that does not exceed 8in x 8in (20cm x
20cm) or equivalent to one liter capacity per passenger.

Items must fit in the bag comfortably so that it closes


completely and must be submitted for inspection separately
from other carry-on baggage.

Liquids purchased from the secure concourse are allowed on


the aircraft.
