Following are the setting for sending SMS using WIN911.

1. Open the win911 configurator.

2. Select SMS Definition

3. From the Port tab select the com port over which GSM modem is connected.
(Connect the GSM modem (with SIM card) to PC com port).
Set all other communication setting as per the PC COM port details.

4. Once port setting are over select the “Define Phone Book Entries” in win911
configurator under Configuration Definition

Select the user name and press edit

Click in the Connection area and press new tab

Select the connection type (SMS Message) from the dropdown list
Assign the number over which SMS to be send.
Assign the country code and schedule.

5. Now open the group definition

Select the group for over which SMS to be send.

Add the user (user for which SMS definition is selected) name/names in the Selected
name list area. Press OK.

In the win911 configurator select file Save

Restart the win911 configurator.

Start the Scan & alarm exe (Start  Programs  win911 v7  Scan and Alarm)
Once your system is ready generate the alarms for the tag/tag for which SMS
definition is assigned.

Once the alarms are generated it will send successfully to assigned mobile number via
SMS. It will also log in active TeleDAC

SMS/Alarm Log is also locked in win911 Alarm Manager

We can also simulate the SMS message using manual Message

Once the SMS definition is completed test the SMS set up using this Manual Message
option.
