The Board of Trustees of the Minidoka County Joint School District No. 331 recognizes that
where possible, students are to furnish and be responsible for musical instruments. The school
district may provide the use of special instruments through the rental process and charge a fee.

Provisions:

The following provisions are intended to be used for compliance:

1. It shall be the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian to select and purchase


instruments for their students.

2. The school district and school personnel shall not assume any responsibility or direction
in the acquisition of musical instruments.

3. All rental and purchase agreements are the absolute responsibility and obligation of the
parties involved, and it is understood that the schools and the school district are not
involved.

4. Rental guidelines:
a. Money obtained from rental of district instruments may be used for replacement
of instruments.

b. Under certain hardship conditions, rental fees may be waived upon approval of
the school administration.
