This document describes a project to simulate and implement a MC-CDMA transceiver. A group of 4 students will conduct literature reviews, simulations in Matlab, and hardware implementation using tools like VHDL, C, FPGA, and DSP kits. The objectives are to simulate the transceiver over different channel conditions and with various noise and coding schemes, and to measure the bit error rate. The methodology involves studying wireless communications, OFDM, and two-way channels, simulating a multicarrier system, and implementing the hardware. Potential applications include military communication, mobile phones, WiFi, Bluetooth, and WiMAX.

CDMA is a multiplexing technique.
Multiple user can access the channel
simultaneously. MC CDMA MC-CDMA is a form of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), but we first apply an orthogonal matrix operation to the user bits. Therefore, MC-CDMA is sometimes also called "CDMA-OFDM“. BLOCK DIAGRAM OBJECTIVES Literature review. Hardware implementation. Simulations In our simulation we use different channels 1) AWGN 2) RAYLEIGH FADING 3)TWO WAY CHANNEL. Noises that we will introduce in our simulations are 1) AWGN noise 2)Impulse noise 3)Coloured noise. We use different coding techniques in our simulations 1) Convolution coding 2) Reed soloman coding 3) Interleaving In our simulation we find BER(bit error rate) of our signal under different noises and using different coding schemes. METHODOLOGY STEP1: To take a depth knowledge of wireless communication. STEP2: To take depth knowledge of OFDM. STEP3: Study what are the techniques involved while communicating 2 channels. STEP4: Simulation of Multicarrier modulation system and study it’s effect in the presence of different noises and channels. STEP5: HARDWARE implementation. TOOLS USED Matlab VHDL OR C FPGA or DSP KIT LAB VIEW RF FRONT END APPLICATIONS Military communication Mobile phones Wifi system Bluetooth WIMAX and many more…..
