Another end of the year,

another time for the

unwanted goodbyes to be said
last hugs, kisses, and promises to be given.

We knew this would come

eventually,
but we are never ready
to let go
to part
with each other.

Look back on the days

we spent together
through glares, tears, and laughs,
the memories to be kept in my heart.

Going separate ways

to wherever fate has destined us to be
but remember
the moments we spent together
the times we made each other smile
that we used to be each other’s halves.
