Why companies change their logos?
When do companies need a new logo design?

Stagnant Business
When business starts to stagnate and you keep generating the same amount of
profit, the company may decide that it needs a new company image to generate
some new excitement in the market. When you consider huge companies like
Pepsi waiting to launch their new logo, it generated a lot of excitement among the
consumer groups.
New Product Launch

If a company sells many different products to consumers, they would each have a
different product logo for each different product. So when they want to change the
look of a particular product, they would normally come up with a fresh new design
for it. This usually involves changing the logo and maybe even add in more words
or take out certain words completely. An example would be Gatorade, the well-
known sports drink. They had their logo changed to show a huge, bold 'G' while
minimizing the word 'Gatorade'. Complete new products would require completely
new logos and design to be created specifically for them.

New Customers
The main reason why businesses and companies need a new logo design is to try and
capture more market share. Whenever there is a new company logo re-launching,
it would showcase to the general public a change in the company's direction and
identity.
Airtel new logo

Airtel New Logo: Bitter or Better?

One of the biggest telecom service providers in India, Airtel on Thursday
launched the new company logo, marking the company’s 200 million customer
milestone. The new Airtel Logo features more curves and lighting effects
compared to the old sharp-edge Airtel logo. The new logo is suppose to give the
company identity a new youthful  and dynamic look, signifying the company’s
innovative advancement in the telecomindustry, not only in India, but across the
Globe.
The organization has taken up an exercise for a hugemakeover which will give
the company an image boost.
This new look has been particularly designed for operations within the country
and also overseas for the perfect synergy of operations for various business
ventures.
Airtel logo
Airtel which has established itself as one of the world leaders in mobile telephony has finally
started showing the results of its Rs 300 cr. spend for marketing, advertising and branding.
The first two change are the logo and the signature tunes. Airtel’s previous logo had both
white and red colour sinter changeably. The interesting part was that the word “Air” was
written in black with a white background while “Tel” was written in white on a
red background. Sometimes they also included their slogan “Express Yourself” with the
logo. But today the logo looks more like a curved “A” with little bit of highlighting to indicate
what they call dynamism and the warm and friendly appeal of Airtel. They have also said
that it represents a dynamic force of energy which would bring the management and
customers closer. The logo type is modern, vibrant and friendly and signals our resolution to
be accessible to our customers and stakeholders. And the lowercase is our recognition for
humility. The red colour, which is an integral part of the brand, continues to represent
heritage, energy and passion. The new curved and the gentle highlight almost gives the
impression of a living object; at the same time, it represents a dynamic force of unparalleled
energy, brings us closer to consumers and is a symbol which will help ensure instant
recognition across diverse international markets.
