    The landlord, Wendy Braidy, is writing to notify her tenant, Ms. D. Chance, that due to large increases in electricity costs from JPS Co., tenants will now have to pay a portion of the electricity bill. Currently, the rent does not cover the costs of electricity, water, and rent. As individual meters for each tenant are not possible, Braidy will charge tenants a $3,500 monthly fee for electricity starting April 1st. Failure to pay the fee will result in eviction proceedings against the tenant.

    Dear Madam,

    Due to the large increases charged by JPS Co., for the use of electricity in
    recent months, I have no option at this time but to have tenants pay a portion
    of this cost.

    At present rent paid is insufficient to cover use of electricity, use of water


    plus rental .

    Ideally ALL tenants should have individual meters but as this is not possible
    at present, a reasonable fee is being charged.

    Effective April 1,2011 you are required to pay $3500.00 per month for use
    of electricity.

    Due to the severe state of things presently, failure to comply will result in
    notice being given to quit premises.
