Amp & Volt
Voltage is equal to energy per unit charge. Voltage is the Cause, Current is the
Effect
Voltage attempts to make a current flow, and current will flow if the circuit is complete.
Voltage is sometimes described as the 'push' or 'force' of the electricity, it isn't really a
force but this may help you to imagine what is happening. It is possible to have voltage
without current, but current cannot flow without voltage.
The voltage between two ends of a path is the total energy required to move a small
electric charge along that path, divided by the magnitude of the charge.
A common use of the term "voltage" is in describing the voltage dropped across an
electrical device (such as a resistor). The voltage drop across the device can be
understood as the difference between measurements at each terminal of the device
with respect to a common reference point ( or ground).
