Stonegate HOA Board Meeting

April 8th, 2010

1. Opening
a. 6:50pm – Roll Call
i. Present: Brent Orton, Jim Porter, Amanda Gigray, Karla Baker
ii. Motion: Ms Baker motioned to accept the December notes with corrections.
Second: Mr. Orton. Vote: All approved.
iii. Motion: Mr. Orton motioned to accept the January notes with corrections.
Second: Ms. Baker. Vote: All approved.
iv. Motion: Mr. Porter motioned to accept the February notes with corrections.
Second: Mr. Orton. Vote: All approved.
2. Financial Report
a. No financial report this month.
b. Letter from Pioneer Title, xxxx Stonehedge was sold, new owners, check for $210 ($150
for transfer fee and $60 for ½ year). Ms. Gigray will call Pioneer about this year’s first
half assessment.
c. Contact new owners? Ms. Gigray will compose a letter to welcome new residents.
d. Ms. Gigray will email the rest of the payments.
e. Ms. Gigray and Mr. Orton will contact rest of past dues and present payment.
3. Current Business
a. Mr. Orton had a visit with Mr. Jeff Scott. They discussed the problem with water
infiltration into the NE storm drain pond. They agreed that the idea of a liner in the canal
might help. Since the water is running in the canal, we would need to try a plastic liner.
They also discussed that the canals are dug out every two years, and that if we were
looking at getting the canal piped it needs to be engineered.
b. Plan of action: Mr. Orton can engineer the piping. We need to get to the next level of
approval for the plastic liner.
c. Cleanup date: Ask JayDub how many trees need replaced and what kind, and where to
buy. We want 2” caliper at least. Possible flower ideas: snapdragons, pansies, and
alyssum (not next to sidewalk).
d. Mr. Orton will ask Ms. Orton for permission to place sign for Cleanup Day on one of the
Dewey resident’s yard.
e. Ms. Baker will get poster board and create signs.
f. Ms. Baker will research signboards again.
g. Cleanup time: - 10am to 12:00.
h. Newsletter: NHW, Yard sale, Batrop’s Loppers, High School Seniors, reminder that
front lights aren’t working, maybe tree letter reminder.
i. Motion: Mr. Orton motioned that Ms. Batrop agrees to be a member of the Board, and
then we agree that she is voted in. Role call vote: Ms. Gigray - yes, Mr. Orton - yes, Mr.
Porter - yes, Ms. Baker - yes.
j. It was discussed that Ms. Gigray would get $40 of cash to buy water and snacks for
Cleanup Day.
4. Close
a. The next meeting will be the Annual Meeting on July 8th, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at the
Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
b. 8:34 P.M. – Motion: Mr. Porter motioned to adjourn the meeting. Second: Ms. Gigray.
Vote: Unanimously approved.
