Pulling it Together
• Trust that the work you have done before
the test has prepared you for success.
• Go to bed early
• Have breakfast
• Bring pens, pencils, erasers, and
highlighters
• Test day is a great day to come early
• Avoid the rush --- decrease stress
During the Test
• Spend most of your time on the questions
that are worth the most marks.
• Read the questions carefully
• Follow the instructions
• Stay on task
• Begin with success answer the questions
you know how to answer.

During the Test
• Skip questions that you don’t know: Circle or
highlight so you can go back to that question
later.
• Answer all the questions --- even if you have to
guess the answer.
• Write or print as neatly as possible. You want to
ensure that the reader can understand what you
are communicating.
• Use the rough note as a place to brainstorm and
plan
During the Test
• Underline key phrases and words as you
are reading text. These can be use tools
when you have to answer questions based
on the selection.
• Take the time to review and proofread,
proofread, proofread.
