Dear Parents/Caregivers,
• Please encourage your child to use this resource to learn
the letter names and sounds. On each page you will
notice a little recording button. Click on the button. Firstly
the letter name, and then the sound will be heard,
followed by the word.
• In order to progress in reading your child, after learning
the letter names, needs to learn the letter sounds. It is
the knowledge of sounds, along with the meaning, and
structure of a text that will enable your child to work out
unknown words.
• It would be more useful if you encouraged your child to
say the letter, sound and word and then to listen to the
recording for confirmation.
