The point of using CollTool is that it is simple and accessible to anybody with a mobile phone. The
idea is that when a new project is about to take place in a town or city a simple frame [such as scaf-
folding] is constructed on the site. After simple installation of the CollTool program on the mobile
anybody is able to see what the possible projects would look like on the site, and be able to alter
and judge the solutions.

to use Augmented Realities as
a tool for collaboration be-
tween planners/architects and
the public.
It allows with the simple use of
a mobile phone to contribute
to the projects taking place in
your town. These are two ways
this can be done:
1. Voting system
3. Compilation of suggestions.
Voting System

This way of collocation allows

the public to vote on number of
different projects. This works
well in the case of competi-
tions where the public can
directly decide on the one of
the solutions. The results are
compiled in percentages and
based on that the winner is
chosen after a given time.

The other opinion is to allow

the public to directly contrib-
ute to the project by their own
design suggestions. They can
manipulate aspects of the de-
sign that are in question. Each
suggestion is saved and lay-
ered one over another. At the
end of this suggestion period
the most common suggestion
will show the most prominent.
