THE MALAYSIA-EUROPE FORUM (MEF)

YOUNG EUROPEAN
INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The Malaysia-Europe Forum (MEF), a civil-society organization, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur


with branch secretariats in Berlin and London, aims to promote the exchange of views and
enhancement of links between and among professionals in Malaysia and Europe, with the overall
aim to promote Malaysia in Europe and vice-versa. Active since 2009, the MEF has hosted
roundtables, dialogues and conferences in Kuala Lumpur, Brussels and Munich.

The MEF Internship Programme is embarking on The MEF Young European Internship
Programme in 2011 and is looking for highly motivated interns of European nationality, to be
placed in top Malaysian organisations for a period of 6 months.

This programme offers young Europeans valuable work experience in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual
and multi-ethnic environment, right in the heart of a dynamic and vibrant emerging Asian
economy.

Interested applicants are required to meet the following requirements:

1 Speak and write English fluently 3 A self-starter with a professional and


2 An undergraduate or post-graduate committed work ethic
student with exceptional academic 4 Adventurous and genuinely interested to
achievements. Recent graduates are also work in a foreign environment
encouraged to apply 5 Excellent inter-cultural, communication
and soft skills

If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply, particularly if you have the following
academic background: economics, marketing, accounting, finance, political science, international
relations, law, information technology, computer science, multimedia, engineering or hospitality.

You will be paid a modest monthly allowance by your employer of 1,500 Malaysian Ringgit or
approximately € 350 and are expected to fund your own travel to Malaysia.
