6. Operation & Maintenance Manuals- (Schedules) Daily Check, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly etc
7. Commissioning checks
i) Health of the engine,
ii) Condition of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic systems.
iii) Condition of transmission/brake systems.
iv) Condition of functional systems/sub-assemblies.
v) Adherence to schedules.
vi) Condition of gauges and safety devices.

3. Type of materials can be excavated (flexibility)– clay, metal fines (?), solids
4. Effect on the system due to contamination of soil (e.g. moisture)
5. Maneuverability
6. Control especially when operating around cable conduits etc
7. Need of match truck
8. Capacity of materials separator/chamber (full capacity at which system is cut-off)
9. Diesel power pack capacity
10. Maintenance friendliness
11. Disposal system of excavated material
12. Preparation time
13. Troubleshooting guides - Provision Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuit diagrams
14. Backup mechanism – if main power pack fails.
15. Attachments supplied for nozzles
