    The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that: 1) Whalley Avenue between Glenview Terrace and Ramsdell Street in New Haven will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning March 17, 2011 to allow for reconstruction of the east side of the road. 2) The reconstruction includes replacing the current roadway pavement and will be completed in stages by April 30, 2011 while maintaining access to local businesses and residences. 3) DOT project #0092-0547 was awarded to Complete Construction Company in June 2009 for $9.3 million and is scheduled to be fully completed by mid-June 2011.

    Road work begins along Whalley Avenue (Route 63) in vicinity of Route 69
    in New Haven on Thursday, March 17, 2011

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Whalley Avenue


    from Glenview Terrace to Ramsdell Street will be reduced to one lane in each
    direction beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Traffic will be shifted to
    the west side of Whalley Avenue to allow for reconstruction of the east side.
    The reconstruction includes replacement of the current roadway pavement and is
    being completed in stages. Access to businesses and residences on closed side of
    roadway will be maintained. This stage of construction is scheduled to be completed
    by April 30, 2011.
    DOT Project No. 0092-0547 was awarded to Complete Construction Company on
    June 2, 2009 at a cost of $9,316.671 and is scheduled for completion by the middle
    of June, 2011.
