CASE DESCRIPTION

1)Technology Change in Insurance market to do cost cutting by providing online services to


cut cost limits on agent networs.

2) Armor coat company also involved In this cost cutting process . Armor coats company
Founded in 1879 ,of french Canadian origin , Mr CJ C EO of the company.

3)Parties /Department Involved in this process within Armor coat company are sales
department and people in technological department people.

4) An introduction of new mentorship program of sales people under technological


department

5)Lack of communication and repulsive behavior from the side of sales department people .

6) Elimination of 2000 agents due to change.


7) Change leading to conflict between both these department affecting the functioning of the
organization
PROBLEM with the case:

1) The problem with the case is unacceptance of an old


employee named ED Mcglyn to a new change that is new technology and a new
program regarding mentorship under which,sales people are supposed to be
mentees under technological department people so as to coop up with the new
technological advancement in the organization .

2)Improper excecution of new advancement and new program.

3)Lack of leadersip skills in the organization head.

4) Communication gap between people, within department


And between authority level.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE PROBLEM

1)Proper execution of the change.

2) Proper communication between all the parties involved in the change .

3) The CEO Mr CJ should have acted firmly in imposing the mentor ship program .

4) The head of the organization should act as a proper leader and should have taken
steps to solve this conflict between the department.

5)The employee should leave there ego and accept the change ,but the ego of Mr ED
Mcglynn ,a sales personal a top performer in six out of ten year opposed the
mentorship program as the mentor was a young guy named as Mr Roger Sterling
new to the organization.
conclusion

Any Change is Only possible in the organization When the change


is :
1)Properly Planned .

2)Properly Executied

3) THERE ARE NO COMMUNICATION BARRIERS BETWEEN THE


GROUPS INVOLVED .

4)Every party involved should be Properly communicated


before implemented .

5) The HEAD should play it roles perfectly .
