Share reading Every Day

 NB To make sure that all learners can see the text


 Learners will look forward to reading together.
Before reading
Introduce the learners to the text.
Own knowledge and experience by asking questions (what do you see on the picture?)
Help learners predict what the text might be about. (Eg looking at the cover information like
illustrations or paging through the book.)
During reading
 Use expressions to make meaning noticing the illustrations
 Run the pointer under the text as you read

 Everyday, Manu gets up.


 He cleans his teeth.
 He sometimes forgets!
 He brushes his shoes.
 He sometimes forgets!
 He kisses his mom goodbye.
 He never forgets.
 Pause and ask questions (sequence the following pictures).

After reading
 Talk about what has been read
 Talk about the characters
 Share their personal responses to the text

Listening (LO 1)
Learners were able to predict the story and understand the main character and also able to predict
what will happen next.
