A bit of news…..

Just to keep you up to date on what Slow Food Cornwall will be involved
with so far this year……

February 9th: MARAZION: Mithe Dufeil gave a talk on Slow Food to the
members of POGG (Penwith Organic Growers). POGG gave Slow Food
Cornwall a donation of £20.00. Thank you POGG!

February 15th: FALMOUTH POLY: Slow Food catering for ‘Everyday


Futures’ lectures on sustainability issues. Sanjay did a cooking demo
with Hogs Pudding from Chy-An-Besow. On offer was locally sourced
food: Joanne made Seafood Chowder, foccassia from Hope’s Bread,
brownies from Delia Schofield and spring rolls from Filipino Kitchen.

March 20th: BRISTOL: Spring Fair. Sanjay will be cooking fish dishes
with the Slow Food message.

March 25th. MYLOR: Oyster Harvest Gathering 25-27 March. Promoting


Slow Food Cornwall with a stand. Sanjay, Joanne and Rachel will be on
hand to spread the word… Rachel will be going out on the boat to see the
oyster beds…

April 9th: PORTHLEVEN: Taste Adventure. An interactive taste inspired


by Slow Food. With Helston School Food Technology Students. Sanjay is
hoping to appear! Joanne to promote Slow Food Cornwall on her
Farmers’ Market stall (located Breageside at the festival).

May. ROCK: Cornish Blue Day. Organised by Rachel Wilson and Tom
Scade from Tides Restaurant, a luncheon dedicated to cheese. Time
TBC.
