The chart shows that the age group of which consumes the most media in terms of television
and film are the 15-17 year olds. Maybe because they are teenagers and prioritise leisure
where as those who are still children are most probably still under the main influence of their
parents and those who are adults prioritise responsibilities such as studying for a degree and
careers; thus making 15-17 year olds my main target audience for my film.
Additionally the interest in television also matches my film subject and plot (technology and
television). This will make my film easy to market as the title (the first glance by a consumer
of what my film will be about) is “Technophobia”. Meaning a fear of technology, this will
immediately grab this age groups attention as they appeal to modern day technology and
cinema.
The 15-17 years category also shows maximum number of cinema theatrical consumption
and this will maximise chances of “Technophobia” (a main stream film) to make a profit.
