WHAT IS PALMISTRY?

• It is the art of characterization and foretelling the future

through the study of the palm.
• It is also known as palm reading, or chirology.
• Those who practice chiromancy are generally called:-
 Palmists, palm readers, hand readers, hand analysts,
orchirologists.
HISTORY

 Palmistrytraced its roots back to India in (Hindu)

Astrology (known in Sanskrit as Jyotish).
 The Hindu sage Valmiki is thought to have written a
book:-"The Teachings of Valmiki Maharshi on Male
Palmistry“.
 From India, the art of palmistry spread to China, Tibet.

  From China to Europe .

TECHNIQUES

• Chiromancy consists of the practice of evaluating a

person's character or future life by "reading" the palm of that
person's hand.
• Various "linesand , "mounts" (or bumps) purportedly suggest
interpretations by their relative sizes, qualities, and intersections.
• A reader usually begins by reading the person's 'dominant hand:-

(the hand he or she writes with or uses the most)

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE LEFT AND
RIGHT HAND
 Though there are debates on which hand is better to read
from:-
The significance include "The future is shown in the
right, the past in the left.”
“The left is what the gods give you, the right is what you
do with it."
PALMISTRY OF HANDS :-
• Left The left hand is controlled by the right brain
(pattern recognition, relationship understanding).

 Right As opposites are, the right hand is controlled by

the left brain (logic, reason, and language).
It reflects the outer person, objective self, influence of
social environment, education, and experience.

LIFE LINE, PALMISTRY
• Life line in a palm shows the general
characteristics of the life of an individual.
• Life line in a palm depicts the general
characteristics of the life of a person.
• A smooth and deeply carved life line in a palm
depicts healthy constitution, and a decent quality
of life.
• Any type of break in the lifeline depicts some
undesirable events or illness likely to take place
in a person`s life.
• A life line split at the end represents the desire of
the person to move away from home.
HEAD LINE, PALMISTRY
• Head Line shows how a person’s thinking is
going to shape his or her life.
• three possible origins:-

Head line weaved with life line at the

beginning (this origin are closely attached
with their family as well as the nature. )
Head line springing out from lifeline
itself( although the struggle for creating an
identity for him )
HEART LINE, PALMISTRY
 Heart line depicts emotions and
spirituality of a person.
 A straight short heart line shows an
emotionally cool person.
 A straight long heart line reaching the
middle space beneath mount of Jupiter
shows a person with warm emotions
SUNMAN LINE, PALMISTRY
 If this line reaches the areas of the Mercury
without crossing any other line. In such cases
the person becomes respectable in the country.
 Sometimes the line appears chain like and
broken. In this case, the person does not get
pleasures and peace of the family life. 
HEALTH LINE, OR MURCURY LINE
 Health Line indicates the condition and
complications associated with the health of
a person.
 The apparent and firm health line is the
implication of good health of a person.
 If the health line is broken in many places,
it signifies severe and continual illness.
LINE OF APOLLO OR SUN, PALMISTRY
 Apollo or Sun is the `Line of Success`.
 Apollo or Sun is a symbol of happiness and
achievement in a person`s life .
 If there is a star on the line of Apollo or Sun
then it implies attaining a considerable
amount of money.
 An island on line of Apollo denotes a phase
when there is a loss of self-regard
LINE OF EDUCATION, PALMISTRY
• Line of Education in Palmistry determines the
education and the career of an individual .
• Those who are having the line of education
achieve complete success in their professional
lives.
• But i t has also been found that those who
have the line of education do not get higher
education .
(yet they are found to be very wise and
intelligent.)
LINES OF ACCIDENT, PALMISTRY

• If accident lines cross is on the mount of the

Jupiter then it gives good results and improves
the fate.
• On the mount of the Saturn a cross indicates
certain death in an accident.
• If there is a cross on the mount of the Mars, the
person dies in a battlefield.
• If there is a cross on the mount of the Sun, then
he will die because of unfaithfulness.
• Cross on the mount of Mercury indicates that
the individual will die in an accident with a
vehicle of fast speed.
LINES OF FRIENDS, PALMISTRY
 If these lines are found to be weak then
person does not get any support from friends
instead his friends cheat him.
 Perpendicular lines on the finger of Middle
indicate artist friends and the horizontal lines
indicate faithless friends.
MARRIAGE LINE, PALMISTRY
• Marriage Line goes across the edge of the palm
starting under the little finger
• If there is any kind of cross on the marriage
line, it can be concluded that his engagement
will be broken.
and He won`t get married in his lifetime.
• If the marriage line is bending upwards then
chances are there that the person could stay
single.
• The closeness of the marriage line to the heart
line shows the marriage age of a person
HANS YOG , PALMISTRY
 The Hans Yog is basically related with the
physical appearances and personality of the
individual.
 the palmists have opined that the person who
has Hans Yog is tall, attractive and healthy.
 His or her personality is always impressive by
which he can influence others.
