Learning Area : Perimeter and Area

Learning Objectives : 1. Understand the concept of perimeter to solve problems.

2. Understand the concept of area of rectangle to solve problems.

Learning Outcomes : At the end of the lesson students are able :

1. Identify the perimeter of a region.


2. Find the perimeter of a region enclosed by straight lines.
3. Estimate the area of a shape.
4. Find the area of a rectangle.
5. Solve problem involving perimeters and areas.

Strategy of Teaching : Collaborative Learning and Cooperative (Student Center)


Prior knowledge : The students have already learnt:

a) The shape of rectangles either square or rectangular.


b) The way of multiplication and addition.

Moral Values : a) Respect each other.

b) Helpful for solving any questions.

c) Confident when answering teacher’s question.

d) Honest when teacher ask students to complete the task.
