 Patient does not view the world as safe
and reliable. He does not trust easily and
he chooses his friends in the ward.
 Pati ent has sense of will but at
ti mes he could not control himself.
He even att empted to rape his
sister but he was stopped by his
siblings.
 Client does not feel guilt for what he has
done as evidenced by:
SN: “unsa may imung gibati kahuman
nimu gi igu ang pasyente?”
P:” Wala lang kay buang man to siya”
 Client feels inferior most of the time.
Whenever he encounters a crowd, he
stays away from them and he doesn’t
join therapies because for him “para ra
na sa mga buang”.
 Patient has no identity crisis.
 Patient was not able to achieve intimacy.
When he and his girlfriend broke up, he
never had a satisfying nor intimate
relationships thereafter
 Client does not take steps to be
productive. His only job in the ward are
sleeping, eating and most of his time is
spent on roaming around the ward.

Oral  Patient is not orally fixated since he does
not nail bite nor thumb suck. He was a
smoker before but he survived a smoke-
free environment in the ward for many
years already
 Anal  Patient is not anally fixated since he is
toilet trained.
Phallic  Patient has achieved the phallic stage
however he has more affection to his
mother than his father. He is vulgar
about sex and he points his genital organ
whenever he talks about it. He is also
sexually preoccupied all the time as
evidenced by:
SN: “tara ligo na ta”
P:“tara kayat na ta”
Latency  Patient has few social interactions since
he is at times violent. He only has few
selected friends in the ward and does
not mingle with the rest of the patients
as verbalized by “dili ko ana nila kay mga
buang man na sila.”, and “Ilugan ra ko
ana nila.”
Genital  Patient did not achieve the genital stage
since he did not form satisfying
relationships with the opposite sex and
he wasn’t able to achieve intimacy.
Before, he had a girlfriend but patient
said that “gi ilugan ko ug uyab” so from
that time on he only wanted sex and did
not form satisfying relationships
thereafter.
