    Special campaigns were conducted in February 2011 and another is planned for March 12-13, 2011 to issue voter ID cards (EPICs) to eligible voters in Tamil Nadu who registered in 2010 and 2011 but have not received their cards, to ensure they can vote in the upcoming general election on April 13, 2011.     P.R. No. 215 Date:10.03.2011.

    Effective steps have been taken for issue of 100% error free EPIC

    to all eligible voters in the state so as to enable them to vote in the

    ensuing General Election to the held on 13.04.2011. Special Campaigns

    have been conducted on 12.02.2011, 19.2.2011 & 20.2.2011 for issue of

    EPIC to those who registered during 2010 and in Summary Revision

    2011.

    Another special campaign is to be conducted for issue of pending

    EPICs on 12.03.2011 & 13.03.2011 in VAO’s office in Rural areas,

    Zonal Offices of Corporations and Municipalities in Urban areas and

    divisional offices in Chennai. This shall be apart from regular issue of

    EPIC on working days at the EPIC centre.

    Hence, all eligible voters who have already been registered in the

    rolls during 2010 and Summary Revision, 2011 but have not yet

    received their EPICs are requested to utilize this opportunity to get their

    EPIC to exercise their franchise in the ensuing General elections 2011.
