    ABSTRACT

    At present ING VYSYA is facing a serious problem of slipping of performance assets into
    non-performing assets. So the main need of this study is to identify the areas where the NPAs
    can recovered easily and know the effectiveness of its recovery.

    Thus, the effectiveness of a recovery depends much on the strength of its management which
    is an important part of the whole system.

    The title of this project is “ A STUDY OF EFFECTIVENESS OF RECOVERY OF


    NON-PERFORMONG ASSETS IN HOUSING AND INDUSTRIAL LOAN WITH
    REFERENCE TO ING VYSYA”. The study is based on both primary and secondary data.
    The analysis has been made based on the bank’s annual reports from 2004-05 to 2008-09.

    In this project the total outstanding in both housing and industrial loan has been analyzed and
    the percentage of NPA has been evaluated. Here various financial and statistical tools have
    used and arrived at final conclusion. From the analysis made it is found that the recovery
    pattern of the bank is good and it showing a positive trend for past few years.
