Dear Mr. President :

I don’t agree with American decision to stay and take control of Philippines. That’s
one of colonization form. As a world power nation, we should help other nations to
get freedom not to deprive their freedom. Don’t you remember how our former
leaders were fighting for independence ? I believe that Filipinos want to govern
themselves such as our formers wanted to govern this nation. Some people say that
we have to educate and civilize Philippines so we have to stay there. If civilization
and education are the main goals, we can do it without settling Philippines. Most
reasons showed up only to justify our imperial ambition. The actual reason is we
want to get access to trade in China. It sounds so greedy, even I couldn’t believe it,
we ‘kill’ Filipinos for our economic interests.

We work hard to help Cuban gaining freedom. We told Spanish that we helped
Cuban based on the name of humanity . So why then we closed the freedom gate
for Filipinos ? Now, In the name of Humanity I ask you for bringing freedom for
Filipinos. I believe that our nation was born for bringing freedom in the world.
