SUMMARY FROM THE RESOURCES

Learners must be able to know that even if the source of water is rain,spring and boreholes,it takes
time before we can get the rain hence the scarcity of water.Therefore if learners know the value of
saving water is vitally important they will be proactive in saving water.There are places with no
access to fresh water unlike people living in urban areas.In rural areas they use the same watr with
animals and everything else.Learners must be taught that every drop counts,and they are not
allowed to waste water.We pay for water in order for the government to afford the resources to
clean the water we need everyday.

To conserve water learners are ti be taught :

 To always use a glass when drinking water

 To use a bucket when washing a car instead of using a hosepipe
 Not to leave water running when doing laundry
 Not to leave a hosepipe on the garden for a long time
 Today there is an introduction of of wolrd water day where the importance and the
necessity of water is acknowledged
 Many people in the world suffer from health problems caused by drinking dirty water
 There are plants which do not need to be watered they are called green plants,the school
can undetake trips to visit places with those plants
 Conserving watr helps to preserve the planet’s natural resourcesProper sanitation will
decrease the risk of sickness and disease
 Learners have a tendency of celebrating Springday by pouring each other with buckets of
water that is not acceptable

Even though we have a lot of rain sometimes we still experience the scarcity of water,we
cannot waste.Learners are to be taught to treasure water.
Water is a need and we cannot live without it even the animals,plants andvehicles to name a
few need water to function.
