1. INTRODUCTION

1.1 RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TOOL –AN OVERVIEW

Resource Management tool is to be developed for IT organization to match the


job requirement with the job seekers depending upon the skill and the nature of the job. Resource
Management Tool is a Methodology used to hold the database of every candidate, so that when
the project is over for each candidate, it’s easy to fetch the database and contact the candidate for
the next project. Entire database of the candidate is collected in this project.
The major functionalities are administrator can add the users, managers and the clients.
Administrator and Manager can add the requirement. Manager assigns the tasks to the users.
Users match the job requirement with the job seekers and also users can view the list of tasks, list
of discussion, task feedback, and requirement feedback.
.This system runs on online and connects to a common database. Also this system
provides high level of security for data overlapping as only administrator people can access the
database. No changes can be made in it until it verifies the user name and password

1.2 OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT

The application to be developed will be an aid to the human resource or staffing


department for any organization. The purpose is to maintain the database of all the details of
job seekers and the users match the job requirement with the skills of the job seekers.
Resource Management Tool is used to hold the database of every candidate, so that
when the project is over for each candidate, it’s easy to fetch the database and contact the
candidate for the next project. Task and client managements are maintaining through online.
Reports can be produced at any instant. This application will eliminate the file system in
preserving the resumes and other paper works. Analysis of the requirement details can be made
with minimum effort
