HOMICIDE INVESTIGATED

On Friday, April 1, 2011, at 10:45 p.m., Grand Rapids Police responded to the area of
Crawford St. and Paris Ave., SE, on the report of a body in the yard of a residence. Upon
arrival, officers located a victim that appeared to have been shot. The victim, an unidentified
male, was pronounced dead at the scene by E.M.S. The body had been discovered by a
subject walking down the street.

A K-9 track was conducted at the scene along with canvassing of the neighborhood.

The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy was scheduled for
Saturday, April 2, 2011.

The Major Case Team is investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call
