First Assignments

For the first class, please prepare Part I of the syllabus (U.S. Const. Art. III, Art. VI, cl. 2; H&W
1-47 (omit footnotes)) and the beginning of Part II (H&W 49-80; S 3). This assignment is longer
than most because it includes a substantial amount of background reading, which can be read
relatively quickly.

For the second class, please prepare Subpart II.A. on standing (H&W 100-139 (omit Note 6, at
126-127); S 3-4).
