Maglev Public Transport System

Posted by So Fresh on September 21st, 2010

Maglev is a short term for magnetic levitation, and it is a system of transportation that suspends, guides and
propels vehicles, predominantly trains, using maglev from a very large number of magnets for lift and
propulsion. In line with this, British designer Chris Hanley has conceptualized a Maglev public transport sytem
that that is said to be a new way of traveling with new flair of roller coaster like experience, and that too with
the safety of an average bus. Based on the Maglev, it keeps the city dwellers away from traffic jams and run
along its track, allowing an efficient and an emission free ride. The new system is suspended above the lanes or
streets, it will make use of skyscrapers as stations to board and alight passengers. It features a radical design,
this public transpot can glide around sharp corners, move down narrow roads within the cities. It has wings
that move along the magnetic track, while on the other hand, the two cabins remain completely firm, making
this a safe transport for people to travel without seat belts. It also features luxurious elements like leather
seating and stainless steel framework, and glossy interior, making this ride not only eco-friendly but also first
class.
