Pan of Woods I panned across the woods for and

establishing shot. This meant the

audience knew straight away where
the coming scenes were set. One
really nice part of this is that there are
birds singing in the background which
makes the opening look as though it
will be all light and fluffy but it
obviously isn’t. One bit which do like is
the sun, there’s not too much of it but
it makes the whole scene look all nice
and airy like nothing bad is going to
happen. If it was dark and gloomy then
it would have an entirely different
effect.

In the pan I also included Cerian who

plays the Princess asleep amongst the
leaves which shows to the audience
that she is a character in this opening
and could be a key character, all within
the first 5 seconds.
