Abstract

The major problem that we’re facing in the computing world is the proliferation of computer

virus. A computer virus is designed to infect one’s computer resulting to degradation of one’s

computer system. In able to prevent this, it is essential to install a good anti-virus on your

computer. An anti-virus is software which cleans, detects and prevents computer virus from

entering your computer. It cleans any virus that your anti-virus detects when as you scan

your computer. It is also necessary to update your anti-virus everyday so that computer

viruses that are newly created will be prevented from infecting your computer. Another way

to protect your pc from invading objects is by having a firewall on your computer. The task

of a firewall is to block all unauthorized access while permitting authorized communications.

With the information stated above, the computer users will be able to know the threats that a

virus can bring and they will also know how they can prevent it from infecting their

computer.
