Libya, the REAL crisis two

I think we should be in Libya because Qaddafi is a very dangerous man who poses a
threat to our allies in the Middle East.

The Middle East has been full of allies and enemies of the United States for years. Qaddafi has
been terrorizing Libya for 42 years, and we have not done anything. Now when Libya is in its greatest
time of need, we help them. Some people say that we should not rush headlong into a war with no
planned end, but I think otherwise. We have let Qadaffi become too much of a threat, and now we must
deal with him.

The 2011 Libyan civil war is an ongoing armed conflict in the North African state of Libya against
Muammar Qaddafi's 42-year rule, with protesters calling for new leadership and democratic elections.
Qadaffi is viewed as a tyrant; his military rule shows no mercy towards innocent people who just want
change. After 42 years of tyranny the United States finally decides to do something. This disgusts me;
the United States is always described as a country willing to help. If this is true, then why have we let
Libya be ruled by a psycho for 42 years?

I understand that some people think it is wrong for us to charge headlong into a country, with
no plan of getting out anytime soon. Those people need to understand that what Qaddafi is doing is
comparable to how Hitler started his crazy campaign of slaughter. All over the internet Qaddafi is being
called the next Hitler. I really don’t think anybody wants to have another holocaust, especially me. I have
also seen him referred to as, Kim Jong-Il, and Stalin. Now why on earth would we want any of these
people on earth?

America is one of the greatest countries on earth. At the same time we are not so great. We
have an enormous debt to countries all over the world, and our government is hell-bent on war. As
Orwell said in 1984, "the best way to control people is to have continual wars and terrorize the people."
Americans love big brother looking to the government when they don’t know what to do. Obama tells
Congress; “Our main military action against Qaddafi will last days, not weeks.” Even though we don’t
have a planned end to this operation, I think it is worth it. War stimulates our economy, people rush off
to support the troops, and go into a buying frenzy.

America is a war hungry country whether we like it or not, we will always be in wars. Being in a
war is more than just killing and violence; it gives the people something to believe in. People will think,
"Hey my country wants to help the Middle East." This is what America is about, giving people freedoms
that they would never have.
