I attracted my audience with the The photograph alone fits with my theme of
use of a studded title font; this indie acoustic and appeals to my target
hasn’t been done before by any
other magazine to my
knowledge. The other font used
on the page is a simple Arial
Narrow font which looks effective
against the black background; I
think it makes the tag-lines more
appealing to the audience.
The brick pattern at the top and down the left
hand side of the page tie in with the other
colours used in the photograph; I stuck with this
colour scheme as this was my original idea. The
black white, coral and blue theme is run
throughout the cover, contents and double page
spread, this shows consistency of colour. I like
the different tones of colour I have tied into the
same colour scheme, it looks effective but
simple.
The barcode, price and date are
really small in the corner so that the
audiences’ attraction is not removed
from the main photograph or tag-
lines of the magazine.

colours used compliment the entire colour
scheme of the page; the clothes are all of a
similar collection but are completely
different items at the same time. The
colours of the band members’ hair all tone
in with the colour theme as well which was
chosen specifically for this magazine
cover.
Overall I like the layout of my
magazine as it has some
gaps but also gives across
the right amount of
information I intended to. I
think the size of the image
and the effect of bricks
surrounding it makes the
gaps seem smaller and less
obvious. My magazine would
probably be successful
alongside NME or Kerrang!
However mine would be on a
much smaller scale at first of
course.
