Objective

 Analysis of average no. of customer


waiting,no. of ticketing windows & the idle
time for each window in Railway Reservation
counter with the help of Queuing theory

 It is a waiting line.It forms because resources


are limited.
 Queue length – no. of arrivals waiting to be
serviced
Queuing Theory
 Study the phenomena of standing,
waiting, and serving,in a system is called
Queuing Theory.

 It is extremely useful in predicting and


evaluating system performance.

 It is mathematics of waiting line.

needed between service to
customers(means short queues and implies
many servers) & cost(too many servers
waste funds)
