    This is a quick look since 1929 at the percentage increase vs. 1929 baseline each year in US Government Revenue, Spending and the increase in US GDP. Note the TOTAL DISCONNECT between receipts, spends and the GDP. We DO NOT need to TAX MORE or SPEND MORE - we have already broken the bank. Note the increase in spends in WWII, then the total disconnect starting with the LB Johnson "Great Society" in the 1960's. The purple line is GDP, green is federal spending, red is federal receipts.
