The Barcelona Zoo is a zoo located in the Parque de la Ciudadela in Barcelona.
Its location was chosen because of the park buildings were available after the
Universal Exhibition in Barcelona (1888). It was opened on the day of the
Mercè, patron saint of Barcelona, in 1892 and the first animals came from the
private collection Codolar Lluís Martí i was on his farm called "The Old Farm",
which was in Horta. This gave the animals to the Barcelona City Council, which
approved the arrangement on the grounds of the Parque de la Ciudadela.

Tibidabo:
The Tibidabo Amusement Park dates from 1899 and that makes a historical reference
for the city, as it is the first theme park in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe

la Sagrada Familia:
The expiatory church of La Sagrada Familia (Temple Catalan Expiatori de la
Sagrada Família), known simply as the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) is a huge
Catholic basilica in Barcelona (Spain), designed by Catalan architect Antoni
Gaudí. Launched in 1882, is still under construction (April 2011). It is the
masterpiece of Gaudí, and the exponent of Catalan modernist architecture.
