Hello and welcome to Piano

lessons for beginners -

episode 1.

www.LearningPiano.net
In today's podcast we'll talk
about what's important when
starting to learn piano.

www.LearningPiano.net
My goal is to make your
learning experience as
smooth and enjoyable as
possible,

www.LearningPiano.net
but first, let's be honest.

www.LearningPiano.net
Let me be totally blunt with
you by saying that learning
piano is not easy.

www.LearningPiano.net
There are no shortcuts.

www.LearningPiano.net
If anyone tells you differently,
they're lying.

www.LearningPiano.net
However, with that being said,
you should be absolutely
aware

www.LearningPiano.net
that anyone with functional
fingers and at least one good
ear can do it.

www.LearningPiano.net
You can do it too.

www.LearningPiano.net
It doesn’t matter if you're an
absolute beginner,

www.LearningPiano.net
it doesn't matter if you've
never read a note of music,

www.LearningPiano.net
or have no prior musical
experience whatsoever.

www.LearningPiano.net
If you possess a desire to
learn, you can become a
confident pianist

www.LearningPiano.net
with impressive skills in a very
reasonable amount of time.

www.LearningPiano.net
There are three requirements.
Good instructions,
commitment, and reasonable
expectations.

www.LearningPiano.net
Learning and mastering piano
is definitely not going to be
easy,

www.LearningPiano.net
but with the right approach it's
certainly not even nearly as
hard as most people believe.

www.LearningPiano.net
It's all in the right approach.

www.LearningPiano.net
There is certainly a wrong way
and a right way to start
learning piano.

www.LearningPiano.net
Unfortunately, most people do
it the wrong way.

www.LearningPiano.net
Whatever you do, don't be
one of those people.

www.LearningPiano.net
If you can manage this, you're
halfway there.

www.LearningPiano.net
Here are some of the most
common mistakes that many
beginners make and that you
should avoid:

www.LearningPiano.net
1. Don't have consistent step-
by-step instructions

www.LearningPiano.net
2. Search for tidbits of
information all over the
internet

www.LearningPiano.net
3. Learn by trial and error

www.LearningPiano.net
4. Try to figure things out by
themselves

www.LearningPiano.net
5. Develop bad playing habits

www.LearningPiano.net
6. Have unrealistic
expectations.

www.LearningPiano.net
These are all surefire ways to
get frustrated and
discouraged.

www.LearningPiano.net
From the get-go, it's important
to learn how to play correctly.

www.LearningPiano.net
When you're just starting out,
it's very easy to develop bad
habits,

www.LearningPiano.net
which can later on be very
difficult to unlearn.

www.LearningPiano.net
Proper guidance and step-by-
step learning is crucial for

www.LearningPiano.net
smooth progression and
enjoyable learning experience.

www.LearningPiano.net
The best way to learn piano is
by having a good and
consistent teacher.

www.LearningPiano.net
Do you really need a teacher?

www.LearningPiano.net
Yes, you do.

www.LearningPiano.net
But it doesn't have to be an
expensive, flesh and blood
type of teacher.

www.LearningPiano.net
Nowadays, you have many
other, much more affordable
solutions.

www.LearningPiano.net
Internet is a great place to find
information and as far as
piano lessons for beginners
are concerned,

www.LearningPiano.net
there are certainly tons of
them available online, both
free and paid.

www.LearningPiano.net
My experience, unfortunately,
is that most of them simply
don't deliver.

www.LearningPiano.net
There are, luckily, a few
exceptions.

www.LearningPiano.net
If you're really serious about
learning piano,

www.LearningPiano.net
don't waste any more of your
time and energy by searching
for tidbits of information all
over the internet.

www.LearningPiano.net
Get serious and take a look at
Learn and Master Piano with
Will Barrow.

www.LearningPiano.net
You want a teacher?

www.LearningPiano.net
How about a Grammy winning
pianist.

www.LearningPiano.net
This is the only piano course
you will ever need.

www.LearningPiano.net
Just remember this:

www.LearningPiano.net
Piano can bring you, your
family and your friends a
lifetime of joy and delight.

www.LearningPiano.net
So yes, it is worth it.
