Wade Davis Bill
Wad and Davis sponsor a deal to oppose,it is to give congress control of reconstruction.
Lincoln never signs the bill.
Freedman’s Bureau
Provided protection education and medical care. The Democratic claims are that this is
propaganda. They faced the KKK the Klu Klux Klan and unstable living conditions.
Forty Acres and a Mule
Freedman’s claim was that they would give every free slave and a Mule. Courts rule that
the lack of success that land taken away must be given back to the rightful owner.
