times of 1) atmospheric water, 2) river water and 3) ground water. Fully describe the
steps. Offer an interpretation of the results.

3. Estimate the runoff ratio for each of the 20 basins listed in Table 1 below. Interpret the
results the best you can (and spending no more than 2 hours – I will give you some

directions at the beginning of the class on Mon Jan 31) using the information contained in
the table and the figures below. In the table, the impervious area refers to the percentage
of the basin over which precipitation runs off directly and becomes discharge (i.e.
streamflow).
