I.

A. And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allaah and does r
ighteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." [Fussilat 41: 33]

a. Al-Hassan (al-Basree), when he recited this Ayah said
, "This is the beloved of Allaah, this is the close friend of Allaah, this is th
e chosen one of Allaah, this is the most beloved of the all the people of earth
to Allaah. He responded to the call of Allaah and called mankind to that to whic
h he had responded. He did righteous deeds in response and said, `I am one of th
e Muslims.' This is Allaah's Khaleefah.'' [Tafseer Ibn Katheer]

a. Al-Hassan (al-Basree) said, "This Ayah applies genera
lly to all those who call to Allaah." [Tafseer al-Qurtubee]

a. Qatadah said, "This slave, his speech confirms his ac
tions, his comings confirms his goings, his secrets confirm his apparent matters
, his witnessed quality confirms his hidden quality. If he's a hypocrite, the sl
ave's words contradict his actions, his comings contradict his goings, his secre
ts contradict his apparent matters, his witnessed quality contradict his hidden
quality." [Tafseer at-Tabaree]

II.
A. "Convey from me, even if only one sentence/ayah" [Al-Bukhaaree & othe
rs]

III.
A. Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allāh with insight, I and those who f
ollow me. And exalted is Allāh; and I am not of those who associate others with Hi
m." [Yoosuf 12: 108]

a. Ar-Raazee said, "This is proof that the call to Allaa
h is only perfected and made permissible with this condition; it must be upon 'i
nsight', which is as they say -- guidance and certainty." [Tafseer ar-Raazee]
